Our Massage Therapy Services Include:
- Swedish Massage- is a traditional massage that promotes relaxation, circulation and boosts the immune system. It is performed with long soothing strokes along the body and is very therapeutic.
- Deep Tissue Massage is a firm and specific massage which focuses on tight, knotted and sometimes spasmed muscles with trigger points. It is very effective also on poorly perfused muscles that are used in regular activity but have been unable to function at their normal capacity. For example, this could be following an accident, or from unusal recuperation from a surgical procedure or unusual prolonged sitting or standing.
- Maternity and Post Pardum Massage is designed for the specific needs of the mother-to-be and beyond. It can bring relief from edema, reduce carpal tunnel symptoms from swelling and can effectively treat lower back, middle back and hip problems that are related to the weight changes, center of gravity changes and body perparation changes for childbirth. We have special maternity cushions that allow a mom to be face down, taking away spinal pressure, and flattening and lengthening the low back with absolutely no pressure on the baby. These cushions can allow us to work effectively and efficiently with the mom and baby even up until the time the baby is due. A doctor's permission is always encouraged for maternity massage.
- Headache and Migraine relief is possible with deep tissue or gentle massage to the head, face, scalp, neck and shoulders. Many clients find this therapy can be preventive if it is scheduled on a regular basis.
- Medical Massage - focuses on acute or chronic conditions such as sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, tendonitis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, diabetes, neck and spinal injuries from whiplash and other accidents, plantar fasciitis and sports injuries. We use detailed soft tissue therapy which includes myofascial therapy, acupressure, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, therapeutic touch and muscle testing and many other effective modalities both gentle and firm.
- Reflexology- is a massage of the zones and points on the feet that relate to different parts of the body. By applying pressure and other strokes to these points we can help to relieve stress, aid in pain relief, increase energy, help to normalize all body functions, and can help enhance the immune system.
- Hot Stone Massage is 1 1/2 hours of soothing Swedish and/or Deep Tissue massage. The heated stones are used with oils in the performance of the massage, and are also placed between the toes and onto the other areas of the body to warm, comfort and increase the circulation to that most tightened, knotted, and stressed spot. Cool stones can also be placed on areas to reduce swelling and edema such as over varicose veins and on the sinuses.
- Aromatherapy Massage - is a gentle method of massage using herb and flower essential oils that rejuvenate the skin, stimulates the olfactory senses, and enhances the feeling of well being.
