Hand Massage

Policies

At Therapeutic Arts Massage we strive to provide consistent, professional, and healing experience every time you are with us. If you feel like we failed that in anyway, please email Heather at admin@therapeuticarts.com.

Cancellations

We will be happy to reschedule your appointment; however, we require a 48-hour cancellation notice. If you cancel within less than 48 hours or do not show up, there is a minimum cancellation fee of $55 and up to 100% of your scheduled value.

WE REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE

We require all clients to have a credit card on file. This card will not be charged without the clients' permission UNLESS the no-show/late cancellation policy is broken. ALL clients sign to this when signing their intake waiver.

FORMS OF PAYMENT

We accept cash, checks,  debit/credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle. All debit and credit card payments will include a 3% credit card processing fee. This fee is waived for all memberships.

When booking either over the phone or online, clients will receive notifications about their appointments. Notifications can either be by text message or email. Clients will only receive a notification once the appointment has been booked and approved and 72 hours before the appointment. This notification has a link to confirm that they can still make the appointment. Clients will get one final notification 24 hours before the appointment as a friendly reminder. If clients do not receive these, they do not have a booked appointment.

TARDINESS

If the client is going to be late, the client needs to notify the client. Tardiness to the appointment might result in lost time during the client's massage. We understand that life happens, but we encourage clients to remember everyone's time. We ask clients to show up 10 minutes before their appointment time.

REFUNDS

We do not offer refunds on massage services, gift certificates, packages retail, or gift cards.

Times when massage isn't beneficial...

When a client presents with signs or symptoms of illness that contraindicate massage (fever, undiagnosed rash, contagious infection), the session will be rescheduled. This is to protect the health of both the client and the therapist.

Health Intake form: To ensure safe, customized sessions, the client must complete a health intake form before treatment. It is the client's responsibility to relay all health information so the therapist can modify the treatment plan where necessary.

Massage is strictly non-sexual

Massage sessions are strictly non-sexual. Any suggestive statements or actions will result in immediate termination of the session wherein the client pays the full cost of the session. Law enforcement will be notified if deemed appropriate.

Lymphatic Drainage

Pre and Post Op as well as Lymphodema will require a doctor's approval. MLD can not be administered if the client has blood clots or is on antibiotics. MLD Detox program must be paid in full. If the client misses an appointment, the credit will subtracted from the payment. The client should come dressed in athletic clothes.

Spa Etiquette

Arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to allow time to use the facilities and get settled to ensure you start your appointment at the scheduled time. All phone calls should be managed outside and over before entering. All phones should be off or silenced during your visit. Clients are to be mindful of other appointments in service and should use a quiet voice.

Groupon

Customer must be able to present their voucher with them or they will be charged for the entire service.

If voucher is expired, customer is responsible for the remainder of the service cost. This is in your Groupon agreement.
